Get to know
Dr. Yvonne Kiernan
Dr. Yvonne Kiernan grew up in New Jersey, where her passion for dentistry began with her first job as a dental assistant and later expanded through a career in dental hygiene. Driven by a desire to continually grow and advance her skills, she returned to school and graduated summa cum laude from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark in 2017.
Following dental school, Dr. Kiernan completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Lyons VA Medical Center, where she received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry. She found it especially meaningful to care for our nation’s Veterans and remains grateful for that experience.
Committed to providing the highest level of care, Dr. Kiernan actively pursues continuing education and advanced clinical training throughout the country. She has developed particular interests in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, overdentures, clear aligner therapy, and comprehensive treatment planning. Her advanced training includes completion of the Zest Master Course for implant-retained overdentures, along with programs through Dr. Gordon Christensen, Spear Education, the New Jersey Health Professional Development Institute, Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center for laser dentistry, and the Clinical Mastery Series. She believes it is essential to stay current with the latest techniques and technology to provide patients with the highest quality care.
As the owner of Premier Dentistry, Dr. Kiernan is dedicated to combining modern technology, continuing education, and personalized care to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Dr. Kiernan believes in giving back to the community and supporting meaningful causes. She has participated in charitable fundraising efforts with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the 403 Reasons to Run chapter. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation supports veterans, first responders, and their families through programs that provide mortgage-free smart homes, pay off mortgages for families of fallen heroes, and offer housing assistance to those who have sacrificed in service to our country and communities.
Dr. Kiernan resides in Morris County with her husband and two teenage sons. Outside the office, she enjoys fitness training, gardening, and traveling with her family. She also enjoys practicing Taekwondo and is currently working toward her black belt. Her training includes forms, sparring, self-defense, and traditional weapons training. She values the discipline, focus, and perseverance that martial arts instill and believes these qualities complement her commitment to excellence in dentistry and patient care.
